NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

A holistic way of treating the body by addressing the underlying cause of illness in order to prevent and treat illness, and promote optimal health.

Naturopathic doctors are primary health care physicians, meaning they can be the first person you see for undiagnosed health concerns as well as for continuing care of varied medical conditions, not limited by cause, organ system, or diagnosis.

Naturopathic physicians are required to have a minimum of 8 years of post-secondary training.

ACUPUNCTURE

A technique of inserting and manipulating fine needles into specific points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes.

INTRAMUSCULAR STIMULATION

A procedure in which an acupuncture needle is inserted into the skin and muscle to release myofascial trigger points. Great for increasing range of motion, treating muscle tension or pain and "knots" in muscles (e.g. headaches, frozen shoulder, stiff hamstrings, and tight neck and back muscles.

PELVIC AND SPINAL ALIGNMENT

Dr. Seto is licensed to do spinal manipulations but primarily uses a combination of massage and acupuncture to align the pelvis and spine. Pelvic and spinal malalignment is often the root cause of headaches, joint pain and muscle tension, spasm or pain.

NEURAL THERAPY

Trauma can produce long-standing disturbances in the electrochemical function of tissues. The types of tissues affected by trauma include scars, nerves or a cluster of nerves called ganglion.
Neural therapy uses procaine injections to restore and heal irritated and injured nerves, so that they will work normally. In doing so, sending the proper nerve impulses to the tissues and organs they innervate, helping to alleviate pain.

INTRAVENOUS AND CHELATION THERAPIES

The administration of vitamins and minerals directly into the blood stream for rapid and efficient absorption which is great for:

·      Gastrointestinal absorption diseases such as Crohn's, ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel

·      Balancing the immune system

·      Increasing energy and athletic performance

Heavy metals and toxins can be removed from the body using chelation.
